About
As a senior electrical engineering student working at an aerospace company, I constantly run into repetitive tasks and missing circuit functionality. I build software tools to automate workflows and design hardware for specific applications.
Everything starts as a solution to my own needs, then gets refined and shared. This site hosts the tools I've built and showcases the electronics projects I've designed.
Software Tools
Engineering Calculators
Web-based calculators for electrical engineering calculations, unit conversions, and component calculations. Includes resistor dividers, LED calculations, and more.
AvailablePCB Design Helpers
Trace impedance calculators for microstrip, stripline, and differential pairs. Includes global board configuration and unit conversion tools.
AvailableCircuit Simulators
Web-based circuit analysis tools for DC circuits, filter design, and component calculations.
Design Templates
KiCad USB Templates
Ready-to-use USB-C schematic templates with proper CC resistor values and USB 2.0 data lines. Includes both receptacle and plug configurations with copy-to-clipboard functionality.
AvailablePower Supply Templates
Complete DC-DC converter templates with component selection guidelines and layout recommendations.
Microcontroller Templates
Complete microcontroller circuit templates with power management, programming interfaces, and peripherals.
Hardware Projects
I design and build electronics when I need functionality that doesn't exist or costs too much commercially. Each project includes technical details, design files, and lessons learned.
ESP32 Home Assistant Distance Sensor
Wireless distance sensor for Home Assistant using ESP32 and TOF sensor. Features built-in battery, WiFi connectivity, and real-time distance reporting for automation and monitoring applications.
Power Electronics
DC-DC converters, battery management systems, USB-C power delivery controllers, and efficient power solutions
Interface Boards
Sensor breakouts, protocol converters, development tools, and custom interface solutions
IoT Devices
Connected sensors, home automation controllers, wireless modules, and smart device integrations
My Approach
I build tools when I find myself doing the same task repeatedly. For hardware, I design circuits when I need functionality that doesn't exist or costs too much commercially.
Both software and hardware are built primarily for my own needs, then refined for broader use. This means they address real use cases but may not cover every edge case.
